The Core Graduate Research Program (CGRP) provides participating graduate students with cross-disciplinary training, advising, and mentorship in potentially transformative research performed within and across institutions and including an entrepreneurial component.
Preparing the Innovators of Tomorrow
It takes a lot of smart, hard-working people to power Kentucky’s new bio-economy. Kentucky NSF EPSCoR’s Core Graduate Research Program helps develop graduate students into the innovators of tomorrow, expanding the highly-trained workforce needed to drive the success of technology-based industries across the Commonwealth.
Learning Beyond the Lab
The Core Graduate Research Program provides an environment where students can learn and network outside of the classroom. CGRP student participants are invited to join our graduate seminars throughout the year to learn about other STEM disciplines and interact with other KY NSF EPSCoR participants.
Partner with Professionals Invested in Your Success
Participants in the Core Graduate Research Program benefit from co-mentorship from Kentucky NSF EPSCoR research professionals. Each graduate student is jointly advised by 2 advisors, generally from different STEM disciplines and/or institutions.
PEER-LED TEAM LEARNING
